Reflecting Forward

60 Years of American Studies at KU

In the 1953-54 academic year, KU instituted the major in "American Civilization." This year, we celebrated the 60th anniversary of that event with a series of distinguished speakers, film screenings, and other events held September 23-27.

Reflecting Forward was made possible in part by the support of the Office of the Chancellor, the Office of the Provost, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Office of First-Year Experience.
